Help The EnvironmentView email in web browser. Don't Put Our Drinking Water At Risk Fracking is the controversial method of obtaining oil and gas by blasting the land with chemically treated water. It's been connected to air and water pollution in addition to serious health risks as harmful chemicals can contaminate groundwater and aquifers during the process.
Despite the risks, the Bureau of Land Management is proposing that we weaken well integrity testing standards. This could lead to inadequate well construction and further pollution of our aquifers. The new, compromised regulations also require that companies disclose what chemicals were used only after fracking is complete.
This proposal threatens to endanger innocent people as well as the environment. We need to make our voices heard now, before it's too late! Protect Our Water Torturing Pigs For Pork?
