Protect America's Wolves
At a time when America's wolves are only now beginning to recover from near extinction, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced plans to remove all federal protection from this still-recovering species. This proposal would strip endangered species protection from the iconic animal in the lower 48 states and turn management over to state agencies -- where brutal practices such as hounding, aerial gunning, and trapping are considered acceptable.
Wolves currently occupy a mere fraction of their historic range and allowing states to open hunting seasons on this fragile species would be disastrous.
Please submit comments to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and ask them NOT to remove federal protection from wolves»
