Your Gift Will Be Doubled!
Your gift can save rabbits and other animals from pain, abuse, and death. And when you chip in today, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $500,000!
Gentle, sweet, and playful—rabbits make for wonderful animal companions.
Sadly, these same traits make them ideal victims of experimenters.
Around the world, countless rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, and other animals will endure excruciating pain in cruel cosmetics and household-product tests this year. In these archaic tests, animals are forced to inhale chemicals until they become sick or die, are tightly restrained while chemicals are dripped into their eyes, or are immobilized and have substances smeared onto their bare skin. In most cases, they must endure these horrors without any pain relief!
Chrys Leon Kenichi, thank you for contacting members of Congress and other leaders in Washington and asking them to end all cosmetics testing on animals in the U.S. I'm asking for your help again—please support our Global "Stop Animal Tests" Challenge.
Make a gift right now to help PETA stop cruel testing on animals, and your donation will be MATCHED dollar for dollar, up to $500,000.Over the last few weeks, generous PETA supporters have already contributed more than $350,000—help us get even closer to meeting our goal by donating today.
When we first began to pressure corporations to give up cruel tests on animals more than two decades ago, only a handful of companies had policies that forbade testing on animals. Now, more than 1,300 corporations refuse to test on animals for their products. The European Union has banned all animal tests for cosmetics within the EU as well as EU sales of all cosmetics tested on animals anywhere in the world. And we recently celebrated the success of the campaign by our affiliate PETA India to end animal testing for cosmetics in India.
So many animals will be saved, thanks to the efforts of people like you and me.
But PETA doesn't just target companies and public officials—we also educate the public. When we expose the truth about these horrifying tests, we change buying habits. Tens of thousands of people have taken PETA's cruelty-free pledge, and our Beauty Without Bunnies online database and Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide allow even more caring individuals to shop in accordance with their values. We're showing cosmetics companies that cruelty isn't just morally wrong—it's also bad for their bottom line.
PETA members help make these achievements possible, but the United States stillhasn't banned testing on animals. We need your help today to take our campaign to save animals in laboratories to the next level—to target more companies, to create more hard-hitting ads, and to conduct more undercover investigations.
If you believe that rabbits shouldn't have their eyes burned with chemicals, that animals shouldn't be force-fed cosmetics and household products, and that sensitive animals shouldn't be tormented in laboratories around the world, then make a gift today. Every gift made by October 31 will be MATCHED, up to $500,000!
I hope you won't let our special matching-gift opportunity pass you by. I know you care about animals and don't want them to suffer. So please, take part in PETA's Global "Stop Animal Tests" Challenge today.
Very truly yours,
Ingrid E. Newkirk
