Today is #GivingTuesday—a day celebrating philanthropy and compassion on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's a day to stop and reflect on the needs in our communities and what we can do to help. It's a time to consider how we can be a part of change for those who need it the most.
While we're shopping and celebrating, a scared rabbit trembles in a laboratory cage, a cold dog languishes on a heavy chain next to a frozen water bowl, a depressed baby elephant stands chained and alone in a circus tent, and a desperate mother pig lies crammed inside a crate so small that she can't even turn around.
That's why we're asking you to spend $5 this #GivingTuesday on an animal in need. Your gift to PETA could be the difference between life and death for a rabbit, a dog, an elephant, a pig, or another animal suffering at the hands of humans this winter.
In the spirit of #GivingTuesday join me in making a change for animals today!
